Fasm Creative - Big Tiger in Small Town Canada

I just finished a huge tiger mural in Shaunavon Saskatchewan for South West Mural Fest. This is Year 1 for this Fest and an obvious success right out the gate. Both the experienced muralist and less experienced did amazing murals and the community is all compliments and appreciation.

My new friend Andrew did a great job curating and we’ve been sharing notes and ideas the whole time about how to run a great festival. For me, the easiest way to say it is… Nurture the community to become fans of artists and nurture the artists to become fans of the community.

Protecting the artists creative freedom is a key part of this.

Generally artists get paid less than their normal rate to paint at a festival. The benefits are having all expenses paid, fellowship with other like minded artists, and t

he freedom to flex their skills and creative ideas on a mural that is something they really want to paint. This makes them put in full effort so that their portfolio is showing what they can do and style/subjects they want to paint. A win for artist and a win for clients!!

I’ll do a few other murals while in Canada then drive back to California. In a few weeks I’ll drive back up to Montana for another festival in August.

Spring is just about here and it's usually my busiest season. After doing a lot of trout fishing last year I've been thinking about painting fish. Thinking back, I’ve mostly painted sea turtles as far as underwater animals. But who doesn't like sea turtles? My partner and I just roasted a fresh batch of Honduras coffee beans on 3/3/25. He really likes it as espresso where I enjoy it as a pour over. Although lately, I've made some delicious latte's with raw/unpasteurized milk. Order a bag...

Macaws by Fasm

Fuzios Restaurant wanted the mural vibes of downtown Modesto, ca to flow through their dining area. They were open to my favorite subjects and style. I had fun with these 2 walls! Fuzios also hosted a swanky artists reception for DoMo Walls including custom drinks named and inspired by all the 2024 mural artists. My latest small batch coffee is a Honduras medium roast and I slapped the new Macaw mural art on the packaging. I only sell these beans to people in person with US cash… Or do I?...

DoMo Walls is just around the corner. The festival is in downtown Modesto, CA and will begin on Sept 30. This year the walls being painted will be in the north-east section of downtown. I can’t wait for vibrancy and energy that’s about to hit Modesto! Murals will be completed by Oct 4 I’m time for the last DoMo Night Market. Here's a map of current murals we've added to Modesto... Side Note: If you have a young artist in your life or sphere of influence, please bring them down to whiteness...
